Junior Wessex Athletics Championships

The Event - Information for Schools

Walhampton School is delighted to invite schools to take part in 'The Junior Wessex Athletics Championships’ on Saturday 7th June 2025 held in the Walhampton School grounds.  

Timings 

The first events will start promptly at 9.30am, with the gates open from 8.45am.  Events are for Under 9, Under 10 & Under 11, boys and girls. For children in their correct year group, that is Years 3, 4, 5. Each school may enter one athlete per event. 

Entry

If you wish to enter this year's event please complete the Junior Wessex Entry Form, by Monday 3rd March 2025, costs and payment details can be found below. 

Cost of entry

All six age groups = £110 (U9 boys and girls, U10 boys and girls, U11 boys and girls)

Each individual age group = £30  (e.g. U9, U10, U11 girls only = £90 OR U11 boys and girls only = £60)

Spectators

Parents and spectators are warmly invited to come and support and can enjoy teas and coffees whilst cheering on the runners.
