Walhampton Arts Festival 2025
Saturday 10 May 2025
Saturday 10 May 2025
Dear Parents,
We are delighted to invite you and your families to our 2025 Arts Festival. This biannual event will be open to guests from 2pm–5pm, Saturday 10th May.
We’re inviting our families, staff, alumni and friends in the community to come and watch Walhampton children perform drama sketches, musical pieces and plays in our beautiful grounds. A variety of performances will take place around the glade, lakes and woodland, with the Terrace acting as a natural outdoor stage for the focal part of the Festival arena.
Opening with a whole school song, parents and Pre-Prep children will then be invited to walk a loop around the school grounds and watch the Prep School children in their various group performances. Don’t miss Swallows and Amazons on the Lake and the Haka at the Outdoor Classroom! There will be plenty of activities on the Front Lawn for all to enjoy as well as performances on the Terrace to conclude the afternoon.
A more detailed programme of events will be shared nearer to the time. In the meantime, please mark this important date on your calendar.
All pupils from Reception to Year 8 have a part to play in the Arts Festival. For those parents who have pupils in only Nursery and Kindergarten, we would absolutely love for you to join us on the day to enjoy the performances and the activities available.
There will be a wonderful array of food and drink available during the afternoon including afternoon tea delights, tea, coffee, ice cream and a bar. Parking will be on the main sports field and the entrance to the Arts Festival will be via the Italian Terrace. Please come prepared for the British weather and an afternoon of Arts Festival fun! We suggest bringing a blanket or camping chairs, plenty of water, sunhats, sunscreen (and hopefully no need for waterproofs!). Card payments will be available for food and drink but cash is also welcome and helpful for some stalls.
All children are under the care of their parents for the entire Festival.
We look forward to welcoming you on the 10th May.
Best wishes,
Jonny Timms
